Working is playing with possibilities, always looking for colors, movements and contrasts that surprise me and (often suddenly) evoke a sense of spaciousness or movement.

The work consists of layers that interact and enrich the image.

Often literally layers, because I frequently use pieces from other paintings or painted tissue paper as collage.

Those layers also make for exciting details making the work fascinating both nearby as from a distance.

For me the perception of the image reaches far outside the borders of the painting.

Also for the viewer the painting has no limit, because the shapes and colors of the painting evoke an experiential process which will continue in the world of thought.
