Portrait paintings

A story told with color and brush strokes.

Soft subdued colors, applied in flowing brush strokes tell a different story than bright colors in combination with dynamic strokes.

In this way I describe a personality or the mood a person radiates. The appearance (shy, cheerful, grim, etc.) is also deliberately chosen in order to come as close as possible to the representation of a character or mood.

The (abstract) backgrounds are calm in the small portraits but in the large portraits they are an important part of the description of the person's personality
